Shree Ganesh, the remover of obstacles (Vighnaharta), is traditionally worshipped first before embarking on any new venture. The name 'Ganesha' signifies the Lord of the Ganas (divine attendants), and he is revered as Ganapati and Gananayaka — the leader of Shiva’s celestial army. Known as the Lord of Wisdom and Success, his blessings are believed to ensure prosperity and progress.

Kakaji Nagar Sarvajanik Shri Ganeshotsav Mitra Mandal, established on August 31, 1992, in Goregaon (West), Mumbai, was founded with the noble vision of fostering unity and spreading public awareness through the celebration of Ganeshotsav. The Mandal has continuously worked to reflect the values and philosophies of visionary leaders while fulfilling the hopes and expectations of the common man.

Over the years, the Mandal has been recognized by Mumbai Police and BMC for its disciplined celebrations and well-organized processions. We have also been awarded for artistic Ganpati idols and thematic decorations that highlight socially relevant issues.

Our celebrations are graced every year by visits from prominent political figures, film and television personalities, and sports celebrities, which adds to the spirit of festivity and togetherness.

Having proudly completed our Thirty Three Year, we pray to our beloved Bappa for the strength and inspiration to continue this meaningful journey — transforming society from darkness to light, and promoting a healthier, more vibrant environment.
